ProFire’s stainless steel and ceramic infrared burners are designed specifically for our hybrid grill series. This burner heats up fast with an intense heat which is perfect for sealing in flavor and reducing flare-ups. The burner measures 14-3/4″ x 9″ and comes with a 5-year limited warranty.

Cleaning Your Infrared Burner

After each use, close the lid and turn the burners to “high” for 5-10 minutes. This will burn off any food drippings, enhance the grill’s performance, and increase the burner’s longevity.

  1. It is important to inspect your burner and protective screen from time to time. Look for cracks in the tile or any rust-through that may have occurred. Both of these situations can cause your burner to heat unevenly or not work at all.
  2. The burner reaches such a high temperature that most drippings evaporate as soon as they hit the grill burner. However, if you marinate or use heavy sauces on your meat, we recommend turning your infrared burner up to high when you are done for approx. 5 to 10 minutes. This will help burn off any sauce or food particles that may not have burned off during the cooking process.
  3. You should remove the burner from the grill, shake out any debris that may have accumulated inside the burner and brush off any ash from the surface of the ceramic with a soft cloth. Inspect the ceramic burner plate for any clogged holes and open any that are clogged with a wooden toothpick. Do not subject the ceramic plate to any moisture and be sure to do a 5 to 10-minute burn-off after each use.
  4. Clean out the venturi tubes to remove any debris including spiderwebs and insects that can inhibit gas flow to the burner.
  5. You can also do a deeper cleaning by removing the burner. Use a wooden toothpick to remove any debris blocking the air holes in the ceramic tiles. When you’re done, take a vacuum with a brush attachment over the burner screen to remove any leftover food particles and debris.


Never use water or liquid chemicals to clear the ceramic burners. This can change the characteristics of the ceramic and cause it to malfunction. If the burners should get wet, it is important to dry them out completely before attempting to use the grill.

  1. Remove the burner from the grill
  2. Turn the burner(s) upside down to allow the water to drain out.
  3. Let the burner dry overnight before reinstalling them into the grill. (This process may take up to one week depending on the environment)

Once it is completely dry, place it back into the grill and attempt to use it. If the burner pops, flares up, or does not turn cherry orange within 5 minutes, the burner will require replacement. Burner failure caused due to a wet burner is not covered under warranty.


The drippings could cause the burner to crack when relit. Always use a drip pan to protect the unlit burner when cooking indirectly. Burner failure caused by cooking over an unlit, unprotected burner is not covered under warranty.

30-Day Return Policy:

At Modern Home Products we want you to be satisfied with the products you purchase; if you don’t feel satisfied for any reason, we allow a simple returns policy that allows you to return any new, unused, unassembled, and resalable items in their original packaging within 30 days of delivery for a refund. The refund issued will be for the total amount of the order minus original outbound shipping and any return shipping costs incurred by Modern Home Products. If your return is due to an error made by us, you will not be responsible for shipping costs.

  • If your return request is due to a product defect or damage, we will first attempt to work with you to repair the product; if repair is not possible, we’ll work on replacing it.
  • If your return will be returned to us via Freight service, we will require a photo of the item as you’ve packaged it in order to have a “before” image of the package to protect against any damage caused during return shipping.
  • Upon returning an item, be sure the product is clean, the packaging is sufficient to prevent damage, and you note your RMA number on the outside of the package.

If you’d like to return your item(s), please feel free to use our simple Return Form to obtain an RMA number (Return Authorization number) and we will process your return quickly.

Refund Eligibility:

To be eligible for a return, item(s) must be within 30 days of delivery in new, unused, unassembled, and resalable condition in the original packaging.

  • The cost of original outbound shipping will be deducted from your refund total.
    • A return shipping label can be available upon request but will be at your cost
  • For returns that require freight service, we can schedule a freight truck to pick up the returning item(s) but you will be responsible for the cost.
  • Refund will be applied to the same credit card, debit card, or another form of payment used at the time of the original transaction.
  • Once received, returns are usually processed within 3 days, and can take additional time for your bank to process the transaction.

Modern Home Products reserves the right to refuse a refund if:

  • The item returned does not match the original item shipped.
  • The returned item is missing parts or the original product’s packaging, either of which was not previously specified by the customer.
  • The item was damaged during the return shipment due to improper or insufficient packaging.
  • The item being returned has been used and is no longer in a new and resalable condition.


In many cases, an exchange may be made to ensure you get the exact item(s) you need. If you’d like to make an exchange contact us, and:

  • We will process an RMA/Exchange for the correct item(s)
    • At this time, you may purchase the new item(s) in order to get them shipped out sooner or,
    • You can return the incorrect item, once we receive the return we will ship out the new item(s).
  • Any additional costs will need to be paid for at the time of exchange.
  • Return shipping will still be your responsibility, though you will not be charged for original outbound shipping if an exchange is completed.
